Obtained a B.Ch.D. degree from the University of Stellenbosch and started in private practice in 1986.

A member of the South African Dental Association and the South African Academy of Aesthetic Dentistry. He has attended various courses in aesthetic, restorative dentistry as well as in endodontics.
